An exciting opportunity for  a  Networks Manager / Head of Networks with strong VOIP experience to manage the IP Data and Voice networks for a large and high profile account.  The Network Services team supports the largest metropolitan borough public network in Europe, managing the complete life cycle of a Service Provider MPLS Network for Council Offices, Schools and Libraries .  It is about to embark on an ambitious programme of work to roll out Cisco Voice over IP and Unified Communication solution as replacement of over 16000+ analogue handsets.The successful candidate will have strong management and client relationship skills with a team leading background as well as a technical focus including Cisco MPLS Networks, Cisco Call Manager, CUCCE and fundamental Networking and Voice technologies. The role will include managing a team of highly skilled and motivated people, work allocation, internal project delivery, and managing customer solutions. The candidate will have excellent presentation and communication skills as part of liaising with customers and motivating the team.  This is a very high profile role in a challenging and exciting period within a unique organisation that offers excellent career and training opportunities for the successful candidate.
You will manage and develop the Network Services, including all Data and Voice services.
Support Head of Infrastructure in meeting commercial and financial objectives across the account
Ensure continued performance of key KPI services.
Provide Business Development support for Infrastructure and identify new services and solutions from within Networks

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:Practical knowledge of following technologies:  Cisco MPLS, Cisco Call Manager and Unified Communications, Cisco Contact Centre Enterprise, Analogue Voice Services, Mobile GSM Networks.
Strong motivation and leadership capabilities able to influence staff peers, external organisation and customers.
Experience of managing a large team of high skilled and motivated individuals in a Service Provider Network environment
Experience of working in an enterprise level infrastructure with complex design and troubleshooting.
Responsibility for delivering contractual KPI services in a commercial organisation
Responsibility and ownership of Service Management standards to ITIL 3 and ISO20000 within a relevant service offering.
Experience of delivering strategic information to senior management and customers and being able to influence their thinking.
Familiarity with business and technical concepts such as business process design, modelling languages such as UML, service management, applications, servers, networks and security (both technical and process).
Understands complex business problems and commercial frameworks and how to apply a logical, systematic approach to arrive at an appropriate solution.
Excellent communicator able to reduce complex ideas to simple terms and express these to both a non-technical business and technical audience.
Comprehensive report/ technical writing, and communication, consultation, conflict resolution, change management particularly in relation to maintaining consultative/ participative processes with key clients and stakeholders
