Cisco 2nd Line Voice Engineer - London 30-40K + Benefits
My client a leading Cisco Partner has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Voice Engineer to join their existing Cisco Support team as a 2nd line Engineer.
You will have experience in most of the following: Cisco IPT, Cisco Unified Communications Manager CUCM/ Call Manager V3.3 to V6.1, Express/ Business, Unified Messaging, VOIP such as MGCP / H.323 / SIP / Skinny / , QoS, PSTN, Unity and IP Phones. On a day-to-day basis you will also be providing 2nd line support to users. This involves answering phone calls, responding to emails from clients and where necessary, visiting clients to provide on-site troubleshooting. Experience of working within a Trading Floor environment would be a distinct advantage.
In addition to your extensive Cisco Unified Communications skills, a sound knowledge of Routing and Switching methodologies is essential. IP networking skills should include sub-netting, routing and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, etc.). Ideally you should be accredited to CCNA or CCNA Voice and have proven experience of working for a Cisco Partner, supporting voice solutions for external customers and demonstrate a good level of commercial awareness.
The ideal candidate MUST have:
§ Solid, proven technical experience of between 2 and 4 years within a commercial setting.
§ The ability to use and apply their judgment, implement solutions and resolve conflicts within a multi-tasked environment.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Customer management skills and the ability to effectively manage expectations in challenging situations.
§ Commercial skills, understanding technical risk and ability to take overall technical ownership of a solution.
§ Experience working with the finance sector (This is beneficial but not a necessity)
Technical Skills
§ Extensive knowledge of Cisco products including Unified Communications (Both Communications Manager and Communications Manager Express)
§ Knowledge of Microsoft Solutions
§ Knowledge of Network Infrastructure and Related Technology
§ Strong knowledge of PC and Server Based Hardware
You must also be:
§ Desire to learn new technologies & plan for CCVP
§ A team player with solid interpersonal skills
§ Able to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
§ Someone with a can do attitude and natural problem solving ability.
