The Systems Engineer will be required to support business as usual procedures. The role will be based in Manchester. The primary responsibility of the role will be to assist the Operations Team in business as usual problems. The Operations Support team covers the hours of 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday. You will cover three shifts:
08:00 to 16:15
09:00 to 17:15
11:00 to 19:00
The successful candidate may be required to work overtime at weekends, as and when required by the Operations Manager.
The main duties of the post are to:
*Provide 2nd / 3rd line support to IS Service Desk, including the provision of advice and guidance.
*Manage allocated incidents to resolution within specified service level targets.
*Document support procedures and user guides.
*Provide cover for Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Group policy on a day to day basis.
*Support Microsoft Windows Clustering 2008.
*Provide cover for SQL 2005 and 2008.
*Provide support for a new CRM 4 deployment.
Technical Experience Required
Essential
*Windows 2003 Server (R2), 2008 (R2), XP, configuration and implementation.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory 2003 and 2008
*Microsoft clustering, configuration and implementation.
*Microsoft CRM 4, configuration and implementation.
*Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:
*Knowledge of HP Blade hardware.
*Knowledge of Cisco networking.
