UAT & Training Manager (Underwriting), London, £56k
Role
The purpose of this role is to:
* manage the user acceptance test activities required in order to prove the global underwriting portal system
* ensure that suitable training is developed, maintained and delivered for all users of the system
Responsibilities
A key role in the success of the Portal rollout is the user acceptance test (UAT) and Training Manager. UAT will be scripted largely by the UAT Analyst assigned to the project, under the control of the UAT and Training manager. In some cases local country resources will be available to provide additional scripting resource. UAT execution will be conducted by business operations resources sourced from the local County and LoB's. These resources will need planning and management from the UAT and Training Manager in the construction of a test model, test cycles and test scripts that reflect the business requirements, a test plan for the execution of those scripts and for conducting and administering the test execution to the standards required.
The UAT and Training manager have UAT responsibility for:
* Producing and maintaining detailed MS Project plans for UAT
* Ensuring that appropriate resources from each country are secured and appropriately trained and familiar with the system prior to testing
* Liaising with the IT function to ensure that UAT environments are requested, built to requirement for testing, including the presence of any other interfacing or downstream systems that may be required for each region.
* Ensuring appropriate data is available and set up in the UAT environment in order to execute the tests as agreed with the business in order to achieve the expected results
* Hosting regular UAT update calls, especially during the UAT execution phase
* Liaising with IT during the UAT phase to ensure that fixes for defects are delivered in an appropriate manner for re-testing
* Collating and reporting on UAT defect metrics, publishing and implementing improvement recommendations for subsequent test phases
* Managing the sign off and agreement of test scripts with the business prior to test execution
* Compiling a regression test model for the Portal
This role will have matrix reporting line into the Genius UAT Manager to ensure that the existing expertise, standards and processes are leveraged and maintained.

* Travel will be required
