The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge in Microsoft technologies and / or Mainframe products.
Communication Skills:
* Is able to work directly with developers, infrastructure support and senior management to resolve issues
* Treats every member of team in a fair, open, and constructive way
* Disseminates information to team through regular team meetings. Is able to decide what information can be passed on and what needs to be kept confidential
* Maintains a high standard of clarity and accuracy when preparing written documents or giving presentations
* Ensure that company and departmental policies are communicated, necessarily updated and followed
Organisational Skills:
* Provides estimates which are achievable but which are also challenging for those assigned to do them.
* Builds and maintains the team's work schedule, maintaining optimum staff utilisation levels and avoids bottlenecks.
* Monitors the Project delivery deadlines, Identifies and deals with issues which could cause delivery delays.
* Strives to continually improve productivity and quality of software
* Participates, identifies the Root Cause Analysis of a problem and guides the team to resolve such problems.
* Ensures Compliance of Pershing Development Process and creation of documentations at every stage of the project.
* Ensures hand over of work, documentation and product ownership takes place.
* Assess team as a whole, identify team weakness, influencing each resource to get the best out of them
Teamwork:
* Is Pro-active and identifies issues and leads the team towards the closure of issues.
* Motivates the team and encourages the team to deliver with quality.
* Identifies where a team member needs assistance to improve and ensures that training and/ or assistance is provided.
* Prepared to work outside of normal hours (and encourages others to do so) in order to resolve problems.
* Participates in discussions to achieve the best software solution.
* Any other duties as required.
Technical Knowledge:
* Able to understand the reasons behind a user request, so as to ensure that specifications and software meet the users needs.
* Is aware of the tasks and projects being undertaken by the department as a whole.
* Has a good grasp and understanding of the technology used by the development environment.
* Has a working knowledge of both mainframe and Microsoft technology and implementation strategy.
* Checks and ensures that software is efficient, correct, and easily maintainable.
* Ensures that testing is sufficient to avoid rework and delays.
Delivery responsibilities:
* Possesses experience in delivery management roles.
* Responsible for the quality of all products / projects delivered by team.
* Responsible for overseeing all products released outside of major release cycles.
* Responsible for producing MIS on projects and resource utilisation reports.
* Any other duties as required.
