Senior Test Analyst - Automated / Functional / Manual - London
My client is seeking a Senior Tester to join their growing Equities test team. You will help to implement and deliver a fully automated test process within a challenging and highly complex technical environment. You will use the latest test tools as well as scripting languages and SQL to deliver an effective and repeatable test solution. The Equities product portfolio is growing and developing daily ensuring the challenges of this role will constantly evolve.
My client is one of the world's leading real-time market date providers; frequently winning awards for their technology they are known as innovators within finance. The Equities product is designed to give real-time access to all forms of Equity data need for Equity Derivative Trading.
Being data focussed candidates require knowledge of relational database theory, SQL, stored procedures and other data manipulation technologies. Although not essential experience of the leading automated test tools would be beneficial. This role would suit either an automation expert or a strong technical tester with ambition and willingness to learn.
The required candidate must be enthusiastic, proactive and demonstrate a good understanding of testing methodologies combined with experience in gathering requirements and delivering system and regression test scripts This person will report directly to the Equities Test Manager, and help enforce and contribute to the central testing policy.
Responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing business requirements and associated design documentation
* Attending appropriate workshops and meetings to ensure a sound understanding of developments prior to testing.
* Input to the testing process by taking responsibility for test tasks, liaising with development and the business to ensure deadlines are met
* Drive testing forward and deliver software that is fit for purpose and conforms to design and set standards.
* Develop test plans, approach, details and scripts.
* Run manual tests on software and develop improvements in the testing process, including automation.
* Manage risk and take contingency action where necessary.
* Input to the company-wide testing framework.
Candidates will need to be motivated, ambitious and eager to work for a leader with financial software. You must be an excellent communicator and able to face off against all levels of the business.
