SAP Implementation Programme Manager / SAP Project Manager - 12-18 Month Contract
Ulverston, Cumbria
£75,000 - £100,000 DOE
As a global company, our client specialises in the design and manufacture of electronic and electro-optic systems and components. They are a respected world-class supplier of quality solutions for defence, aerospace, rail, electronics and telecoms applications. An opportunity has now arisen for a SAP Implementation Programme Manager / SAP Project Manager to join team on a 12-18 month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to manage the implementation of SAP into the business: a project with a budget of £1m and an expected length of 12-18 months.
With implementation split between the company's UK and US offices, it is anticipated that the SAP Implementation Programme Manager / SAP Project Manager will spend the first few months in the Cumbria office, followed by 4-5 months in Connecticut USA, before returning to the UK.
Specifically, this programme will require the post-holder to:
- Create and execute programme work plans which meet changing requirements
- Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Manage project team and day-to-day operational aspects of the programme
- Minimise, manage and report on the programme's exposure and risk
- Program accounting, including managing budget and tracking incurred and anticipated costs
To be considered for this position, the SAP Implementation Programme Manager / SAP Project Manager will need to demonstrate excellent programme management experience.
The SAP Implementation Programme Manager / SAP Project Manager will also show excellent financial management ability, as well as well-honed communication and leadership skills. As an experienced project management professional, you will also hold a proven working knowledge of project management best practice, such as APM, PRINCE2 etc.
Direct experience of SAP solutions would be of benefit to your application, as would experience of working in a US business environment, though these are not essential.
