Senior Linux System Architect / Design Engineer; Hertfordshire; required to join a well established and leading hosted solutions house. In this role you will join the web and hosted solutions support specialists team acting as the Linux and LAMP lead. Main technologies are LAMP, F5 Big IP, Cisco and MYSQL database's serving a hosted 24*7 mission critical environment covering application delivery, web hosting and DB server's. In this role you will have the lead for architecture and deployment strategy of all Linux servers, definition of config and build standards, active and strong input the technology strategy focusing on Linux (tools system components, development and methods), day to day admin of Linux and network infrastructure, roll out services to production environment and working with dev team to standardised applications and other duties whilst working with PM's &Dev and It teams. You will have strong Linux admin and design / architecture at a detailed level, expert Perl/ Apache/ Perl skills, exposure to DB administration such as MySQL& other Db's such Postgres or Sybase, strong analysis, design and organisation skills, ideally degree level with LAMP hosted environment exposure.
