Linux / VMWare Engineer - North London - Salary Open
My Client is looking for a highly dynamic, self starting Unix guru to join an existing team of experienced engineers. The role is challenging, diverse and at times high pressured encompassing the design, implementation and support roles.
Virtualisation (ESX) is extensively used by my client for Unix deployments. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the future direction of the virtual platform. Prior knowledge of virtual technologies is and advantage but not essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a clear track record of building Unix systems. The candidate must clearly demonstrate expertise in automated server provisioning, either physical or virtual, performance management and configuration management. The candidate must also understand the performance implications of server consolidation.
The ideal candidate will be expected to develop management and configuration applications using a variety of open source tools including but not limited to C , Shell, Python, Apache and Postgres
This is a fantastic opportunity where the candidate will help redefine the virtualisation landscape of my client and all possible resources will be made available for the candidate to train further and progress their career within the organisation.
