The key responsibilities for this position are but not limited to:
•Leading and directing the engineering function and accountable for engineering's contribution to the overall business result
•Responsible for delivery of the engineering part of the projects, point of contact for all technical issues
•Supporting the bidding process; perform technical tender evaluation with regard to resources, plans, technology, risk, process, etc.
•Planning, co-ordination and management of engineering resources, people and facilities, and for coordinating engineering staff development and training
•Monitoring relevant technological developments and encouraging creativity and innovation within the engineering staff
•Responsible for engineering procedures, processes and process improvement
•Responsible for ensuring the review of changes to engineering Railway Group and Network Rail Company Standards and briefing changes
•Maintains and develops good relationships with customers, industry associations, suppliers and partners. Encourages and develops good engineering links at all levels across Mobility
For success in this application you will be expected to have an Engineering degree or equivalent; this would normally be a Chartered Engineer

You will require experience within the rail environment and meet the acceptance criteria from Network Rail for a Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE).

You should have experience and knowledge of engineering process at all stages of the engineering lifecycle as well as strong management, organisational and leadership capabilities. Additional excellent presentation and communication skills are expected.

Relocation is offered as part of the remuneration package. Our client is offering £65,000 plus 25% bonus and additional benefits.
