Senior Product Manager - Premium Consumer Electronics (Product Management/ Product Development)
Thame, Oxfordshire
£45,000 Basic Plus Car Allowance (£3,750 pa), £15,000 Performance-Related Bonus (£60,000 OTE), Laptop, Blackberry, Contributory Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Permanent Health Insurance
Our client is a global organisation specialising in the premium consumer electronics accessories market. Their customers include some of the world's leading retail chains and independent specialist HIFI/ AV retailers. An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Product Manager to join their team.
In this key role you will be responsible for driving all aspects of product development and product management for a range of premium consumer electronic accessories. This will involve managing and developing a 5-strong team, and being a key interface between logistics, sales, marketing and finance.
As the Senior Product Manager your tasks will include:
- project management: ensuring an end-to-end product development process is set and maintained
- supplier management: ensuring the company uses high calibre suppliers, negotiating pricing
- ROI: ensuring new products have commercial viability through a project P&L
- liaising with sales and marketing, ensuring they are updated on product specifications, USPs, market information etc
- developing all marketing collateral, including website and catalogue pages, product releases, brochures, adverts
- acting as product champion - attending seminars, trade shows and industry events
To be considered for this position, you must have senior level product management and product development experience gained within the consumer electronics industry. You must also have a track record of dealing with Far East suppliers.
As the Senior Product Manager you should also be an excellent communicator who's capable of leading, developing and mentoring a team. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships is also essential.
Experience in premium consumer electronics would be beneficial to your application, as would a degree or equivalent.
