Linux Systems Administrator - London, Redhat, CentOS, Linux Clustering, GC Tuning, Oracle, SQL, Bash, Python, Perl, Linux Tuning, Kernel.
My client is one of the most successful financial organisations in the world, specialising within investment and fund management.
They require a senior level Linux Administrator to join a highly skilled UK based engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and running systems to meet demanding requirements. You must be able to cover a wide spectrum from hands on configuration of RedHat/ Linux systems and storage, scripting and automation, through to technology selection and systems design.
Skills required include; RedHat/ CentOS experience, Linux Clustering technologies. Redhat. Understanding of GC tuning, deployment. Experience of running Databases on Linux, Oracle, SQL. Knowledge of low level Linux tuning, custom kernel creation desirable. Understanding of TCP/ IP networking, load balancers, firewalls and switches a plus. Knowledge of Storage Protocols/ Systems desirable.
