Our client is a leading event management agency specialising in corporate events and activity weekends. An opportunity has now arisen for a Web Developer / .NET Developer to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a motivated Developer with both .NET and web development experience, looking for a role that offers great scope for career development.
As a Web Developer / .NET Developer, you will be part of the development team based in London office, liaising with the company's off-shore developers. Your primary role will be to work with the London team to develop new web pages based upon the existing data access layer (developed off-shore).
This role would suit a team player who can understand business requirements, make recommendations and implement these in an efficient way.
As a Web Developer / .NET Developer, your duties will include:
- Developing both web and win form pages from the data access layer
- Working with the off-shore team to maintain a clean data access layer
- Working with the London team to optimise existing web pages
- Making recommendations that will enhance the business
- Liaising with non-technical staff on how to deliver their ambitions through the website
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Strong knowledge and experience of building websites and applications in C# .NET
- Experience as a developer in a commercial environment
- High proficiency in SQL, XML, XSLT, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (and JavaScript frameworks)
As a Web Developer / .NET Developer, you should have a strong eye for detail and a drive to deliver results.
The successful candidate will work in an open plan office with no suits and no hierarchy, in a team that's driven by being the best at what they do.
