Java Developer (UNIX/ Linux, Multi-threaded, SQL). Talented Java Developer / Programmer sought by leading Investment Bank based in the City. As Java Developer you will work closely with the Front Office Risk and PnL trading team to react to urgent requirements from the trading floors and provide 3rd line support for all trading applications - providing you with a rewarding balance of short projects rapidly delivering business benefits to longer term strategic projects.
Requirements:
* Extensive OO / Java programming experience including Java 6
* Experienced with server side, multi-threaded, real-time applications
* RDBMS - SQL, Oracle and / or Sybase
* Confident and articulate - able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people
* Clear understanding of the banking environment with a strong interest in financial markets, Risk / PnL beneficial
* Desirable: Hibernate, JMS, Struts2, GWT, Spring, Coherence, .Net, C#, C, C++, RMI, SOAP, ICE
