Infrastructure Systems Tester - Reading

Infrastructure Systems Tester, Windows Server 2003, Reading. My client has a vacancy for an Infrastructure Tester who will be responsible for the technical testing of hardware solutions (Servers and UADs (User Access Devices commonly desktop PCs, laptops and handheld PDA's). The successful candidate must be innovative and show initiative in planning and conducting testing within a controller live like environment and where required, provide ongoing support to other units and to closely work with developers in the development of products prior to being handed over to the test environment. Key responsibilities would include the review of high and low level designs, in order to understand the build sequencing and to prepare Test Plans and Scripts. This includes understanding the contractual requirements, and to the interaction between testing and support organisations. Testing is managed via Mercury Toolset products i.e. TestDirector and utilises other products i.e. Winrunner and Loadrunner. It is preferred that the candidate has suitable skills in any (or all) of these products. Training will be given, where necessary. Essential skills include: Windows 2000/ 2003 Server/ Windows XP UAD build, SQL, and a good technical experience and knowledge of the Mercury Toolset. Any knowledge of security products (Sanctuary, PKI) would be beneficial. Candidates must be willing and able to undergo security clearance.
