Our Customer requires a DV cleared Software Load Consultant to join an existing team and to be involved in the following.
* As Software Load consultant you will have to install all build material supplied by the build team. This will involve configuring the build so it runs in the customer environment.
* You will be involved in build, verification and deployment of new services as the system grows and evolves.
* You will need to demonstrate knowledge of Windows 2003 and 2008 server and client characteristics, a knowledge of networks, AD and AV.
* The setup and configuration of the servers from the build guides will require knowledge and experience of SAN attached storage, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
* The role is fundamentally one of making the builds work. This is a senior role where decision making and intelligent application of knowledge and experience will be critical for success.
Primary Responsibilities

* Achieve contractual Service Level Attainment
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Key Skills:
* Microsoft Vista and Windows Server 2008. Converts from Microsoft XP and Windows Server 2003 welcomed.
* Microsoft Outlook & Exchange.
* TCP/ IP protocols & services.
* AV configuration
* AD configuration
* DNS and DHCP
* SAN attached storage
* ESX (VMware)
* Deployment services (Altiris / Radia)
Secondary Skills:
* Active Directory / LDAP.
* Message Signing and Encryption / PKI.
* Unix / Solaris or HP-UX.
* Scripting, e.g. Windows, Perl.
* Printer integration
* Trouble shooting experience on HP blade systems
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
