My client is a successful multidiscipline defense company. They are now celebrating 60 years of acoustic expertise and they are recognized as World Leaders in the development of innovative sonar and Anti-Submarine Warfare Systems.
Due to continued success and growth the company is looking for a LEAD MARITIME SYSTEMS PROJECT ENGINEER to join their team.
Owner of:
Requirements, Test, Acceptance Integration and Installation trials on Naval platforms
Accountable for:
Achieving acceptance of the ECU performance in target system/ platform by the Customer and Target System owners; to schedule and cost
Where necessary conducting platform surveys and producing Integration and Installation Plans
Defining and conducting Test Trials, Integration & Acceptance strategy, policies, processes and products
Defining and conducting the Requirements Management strategy, policy, processes and products
Compliance with Company and Project Director directives.
Responsible for:
Requirements management, traceability, verification and system acceptance.
Progressively building the acceptance case ensuring early, iterative testing at the lowest level.
Liaison with IPTs, Das and stakeholders to identify I & I strategy (to gather and document accreditation and acceptance process from affected IPTS and DAs)
Responsible for the identification of work packages and task to stakeholders.
Liaison with the Engineering Support (for Safety, Security, ILS, Training, Maintenance requirements for I&I)
Producing, maintaining and implementing the Installation and Integration Plana (including all sub-ordinate plans).
In conjunction with the Programme Manager establish and maintain the Master I & I Schedule
Establishing and reporting I & I Performance Metrics (Monthly).
Preparing an I & I status report for inclusion in the internal Business Review pack (Monthly).
Preparing an I & I status report for inclusion in customer status reports (Monthly/ Quarterly).
In conjunction with the Programme Manager/ SDA hold progress reviews (Weekly).
Leading the identification, analysis, mitigating and resolution of I & I risks/ issues and identification of assumption for the Domain.
Producing and validation of all Acceptance and Trials Test Plans and Procedures.
System Integration in conjunction with the System Design Authorities.
Approving of all internal and subcontractor I & I documentation.
