My client is urgently seeking a specialist Cisco wireless network consultant to come onboard and investigate wireless connectivity issues on their site and to then make recommendations on the installation going forward. Key deliverables are to Work as technical designer and validator on client projects and site, Provide technical support and engineering services for the clients' networks, Maintain and improve existing and client networks in accordance with the design methodologies and e.nsure a high level of quality. Following Accreditation will be required :
CCENT Wireless required
CCNA Wireless required
CCNP Wireless required
CCIE Wireless preferred
Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Design Specialist - preferred
Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist - preferred
The knwledge and expreince we are seeking are :
Detailed understanding of a variety of network infrastructures
Comprehensive knowledge of network packets including the ability to analyse and debug layers 1-7.
Extensive experience of troubleshooting service provider or large enterprise networks.
Extensive experience of at least the following routing protocols: OSPF, BGP
Experience with administering and troubleshooting Cisco Wireless products.
Experience of Cisco multi-layer switches and routers, including 6500's, 3750's, and 7200's.
Experience of firewall and VPN operation and troubleshooting with Cisco PIX/ ASA and Checkpoint firewalls. Experience of the Cisco Firewall Service Module would be advantageous.
Experience with using and maintaining network monitoring tools.
Good understanding of cabling, fibre and connectivity technologies and standards.
Familiarity with network-centric applications such as DNS, TACACS, RADIUS, and Syslog would be advantageous, as would experience of 802.1x network authentication.
Familiarity with content switching / network load balancing technologies would be advantageous.
