Our client is one of the leading mobile phone recycling companies in the UK. This space, and the company itself, have experienced rapid growth over the last few years and represent one of the fastest growing sectors in the telecommunications industry today. An opportunity has now arisen for a Test Analyst / Data Analyst to join their team.
In this role you will be responsible for using Excel to manage data and processes within the business, and assisting with software development, focusing on testing. A good grounding in testing is key to this position, as is the ability to work in a small team and willingness to play a hands-on role.
As a Test Analyst / Data Analyst, your duties will include:
- uploading to, and downloading from, SQL databases
- performing Excel reconciliations, analysis and comparison
- preparing Excel reports
- customer and supplier liaison
You will also assist in software development, with a major focus on testing, with responsibilities including:
- understanding and documenting all business requirements for new projects
- with the development team, helping to ensure the reliability of applications and eliminate repeated software defects
- creating and maintaining test automation scripts
- creating test documentation for the existing applications and website
To be considered for this position, you must have some commercial testing experience and advanced Excel skills. You will also need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for work.
Additionally, because of the small size of the team, you should have the ability to work and think independently coupled with a 'can do' attitude.
Although not essential, the ideal Test Analyst / Data Analyst will also have good SQL skills.
