Today, they're the number one vacuum cleaner manufacturer in the UK, US, Tokyo, Western Europe and Australasia. And they're making big strides in other countries too. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Electronics Technician to join their team.
In this role you will join a team that's responsible for the electromagnetic and electronic motor control parts of our client's products. In addition to hands-on duties, you will be required to act as a senior technician within the laboratory environment.
As a Senior Electronics Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- providing support for the development of power and control hardware for driving brushless electric motors
- building PCBs (including surface mount)
- designing and building test rigs
- fault finding
- carrying out and reporting on defined tests
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- experience of working on mains voltage PCBs and equipment
- experience of using standard laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes
- good soldering and wiring skills
Additionally, as a Senior Electronics Technician you should be highly organised with good PC skills, and the ability to learn and adapt.
Laboratory management experience would be beneficial to your application, as would proficiency using LabView.
