Engineering Manager - Manufacturing (Industrial Fans)
Llanelli, South Wales
£30,000 - £35,000 starting salary plus Benefits Package including Relocation Assistance
As a world leader in their market, our client is a well established engineering company specialising in industrial fans. As a Double Queens Award winner, they export over 90% of their production. A unique opportunity has now arisen for an Engineering Manager to join their small senior management team.
As the Engineering Manager you will be tasked with taking responsibility for a major new project and for helping to expand sales and manufacturing efficiency of the existing product range.
Everything is in place - the company has recently doubled their factory space and expanded their manufacturing capacity in readiness for the project, which means they are now looking for a high calibre manager with industrial engineering experience to take the lead. Some international travel will be required.
To be considered, you must have:
- Significant industrial engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Management skills, specifically the ability to handle people and lead a team
- Full understanding of CAD/ CAM including AutoCAD and Inventor 3D
- Experience of negotiating contracts and engineering designs with clients
This position is based in Llanelli, South Wales, a seaside town with good schools and facilities. Applications from candidates willing to relocate are invited and as such, relocation assistance can be provided.
Although not essential, the ideal Engineering Manager will also have some or all of the following: experience in the furnace, industrial fan or a related industry; an understanding of metal stress calculations, finite element analysis, dynamic balancing and vibration analysis; knowledge of weld procedures and preparation; experience in bearing selection; additional language skills.
