Telecoms Vendor Manager required to join my client, a global supplier of Services to Government and the Public Sector.

Vendor Manager - Telco

With a portfolio of worldwide products and services, my customer and it's clients places great emphasis on, and relies upon, exceptional IT and Telecoms systems, and also partner organisations to support their business activities.

We are therefore looking for an extremely strong Telecommunications Vendor Manager to take ownership of our Telco partner relationships, Operational delivery and contract governance framework.

The role combines Telco design and delivery across functions including transition and operations. Having direct management of a small team based in Birmingham you will also have responsibility for circuit provisions and Billing as well as overall relationship management of our telco partners.

You will have an extensive telco background where you have delivered and can demonstrate tangible results or have developed and implemented operational strategies.

The candidate will need strong telecommunications knowledge with experience of working with organisations such as BT, Cable and Wireless and Opal along with their associated products and solutions.

You will be responsible for driving savings and benefits through effective management of the supply base, designing and implementing measures, KPIs and management reports, monitoring of vendor performance, service management, productivity, price competitiveness, SLA delivery, and management of any change to the operational service and contract.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
* To manage the operational and commercial relationship with Partners for Telecommunications ensuring that commercial terms, SLA's and KPI's are met.
* KPIs are reviewed regularly and performance shows continual improvements.
* Customer Satisfaction performance measurement and remedial action taken where necessary
* Provide a single point of contact for ICT Exec, Senior Clients and Client Service Executives to raise partner Operational Support issues and concerns.
* Act on behalf of other client Divisions where appropriate
* Ensuring that services are delivered using best practice methodologies and processes
* Line Management of the team responsible for obtaining quotations and circuit provisioning as well as ongoing bill management

The Individual
* Proven at operational level within a large enterprise that comprises thousands of employees, tens of sites and highly complex telco services and customers.
* Strong Telco supplier and commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of standard industry processes and measurement metrics for telecoms services
* Relevant service management experience in fast moving consumer telecoms operation
* Significant experience of managing customer and 3rd party relationships
* Of graduate calibre with extensive delivery management experience to stringent SLAs and KPI's
* Demonstrably strong and proactive technical leadership skills & business intellect
* Strong and Pragmatic character able to make and deliver business decisions
* Able to demonstrate considerable knowledge of business strategy & business process administration
* Sound financial and commercial awareness having previously owned P&L and experience of contract management and negotiation
* Able to commute within the midlands region
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels
* Proactive approach with the energy and vision to drive continual improvement.
* Has a passion for delivering excellence to customers
* Has a "lets do this" approach that is infectious
