Business Development Consultant – Defence – South West
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Consultant preferably within the GIS and Defence / Public Sector arena to join a market leading solutions provider, working in a dynamic and multifaceted role as part of a busy team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven commercial background in business development and technical solution sales within the Defence, Public Sector or Public Safety arena, selling complex bespoke technical solutions and systems. You will have strong negotiation, communication and sales skills with a solid understanding of Software, Systems and Architecture technical solutions, preferably with a good technical understanding of GIS applications and products such as ESRI, MapInfo etc, and then selling complete software solutions and offerings in this arena. You will have an extensive contact list with experience of developing and winning business within the Defence and Public Sector arena with any experience in the Public Safety sector a bonus. You will also have strong documentation skills with experience of producing bids, tenders and appropriate documentation.
