As an Internet Service Provider, our client works in partnership with world class suppliers and has achieved an enviable reputation for quality of service amongst its customers. They have also established a strong market presence as an integrated services provider of computer networks, telephone systems, Internet access and telecommunications carrier services to SMEs in London, the South East and the Midlands. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Desk Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal role for an IT support desk professional looking for an exciting challenge to move into a more senior role with a strong customer service focus.
As an IT Support Desk Manager you'll be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the support desk. It's expected that you'll spend 70% of your time managing staff and 30% using your technical skills.
This role requires a results-driven candidate with the ability to lead and develop support teams, taking a hands-on approach whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained.
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Experience in an IT support management role
- Experience dealing with external end clients/ customers (not internal staff)
As the IT Support Desk Manager you should also have a practical aptitude for technology, excellent communication skills, and the enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
