Software Engineer : Audio Management : Bristol / Chepstow : salary £25-35k depending on experience.

An opportunity has arisen to work with a small but dynamic young company, currently based in Bristol, but shortly setting up offices in Chepstow on the English/ Welsh border between Bristol and Cardiff. Founded in Feb 2007, its first product was launched in June 2007. In January 2008 this product was shortlisted for a BETT award, and has since gone on to sell many thousands of copies to students and working professionals. This opportunity offers the excitement of working for a very successful and fast-growing start-up.
Role
A software engineer is required to extend the audio management capabilities of the flagship product shortlisted for a BETT award, with a view to taking on responsibility for this part of the software within a few months. The role will enable you to use your skills to make a real difference to many thousands of dyslexic students in the UK and internationally. The post would suit a developer with an interest in audio/ video-based applications and a good understanding of real-time software.
Candidate skills
You will have significant experience of multi-threaded real-time software in C++
Ideally you will have experience in Windows application development using Visual Studio, as well as Real-time Audio &/ or Video management : preferably WMSDK or QuickTime.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Digital Signal Processing and .NET, C#
An asset would be additional experience of developing Apple Mac applications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong degree in Computer Science or Engineering; although relevant work experience will also be considered.
You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.
Package
£25-35k depending on experience.
