Computer People have been exclusively engaged to hire two Java Software Engineers for our growing software house client in York, Yorkshire. With a background in C or C++, the successful Java Developers will join a true market leader who are developing enterprise-level software systems and products. Increased global success is the reason for the new Java additions to the Development team.
The successful Java Systems Engineers will be Object Oriented experts with detailed understanding of OO design concepts. They will have strong C or C++ skills, which will be utilised, though the primary skill required is Java. Web services, XML, JavaScript and J2EE application server knowledge (Websphere, WebLogic, JBoss) would be useful too.
The Java Developers will be working on highly complex n-tier architecture enterprise systems. The software products are hugely data-intensive, have many server components and need to be available 24/ 7. It's essential the Java Software Engineers are able to take ownership, innovate and improve. They must be able to work independently but, above all, be able to produce robust and secure Java/ C/ C++ code.
Our technology client have a very high staff retention rate and offer a relaxed and informal working environment. The Java Developer must be comfortable working autonomously in a small team.
In addition to a salary up to £40k, we're offering flexible working hours, 5 weeks holiday and pension scheme.
