IT Manager

You will have held a similar position within a fast moving retail organisation or comparable industry and will have a proven track record of managing teams, the ability to define and implement efficient policies and procedures and a solid understanding of the value an effective IT Department can bring to a business. You will also have experience of successfully delivering technical projects. As part of the IT team you will have the opportunity to work closely with all areas of the business as well as an influence on the strategy for its IT systems. You will work in partnership with the IT Director to deliver the IT vision and deliver the day to day IT service and will have overall responsibility for the management of the Technical Services Team. You will facilitate delivery of all technical solutions to the business, including on going support as well as ensuring the delivery of the current services/ solutions, to be planning ahead to determine the future requirements of the technical solution in order that it is aligned to the overall business strategy. Management responsibilities will include the management of individual teams within the Technical Services area and to deliver a professional, timely and efficient service with no “single points of failure”. You will manage the relationship between the company and their software and hardware suppliers, including the monitoring of SLA targets, negotiation of support and licence costs and the pro-active management of support contracts. You will also oversee the project management of all technical projects in line with the project methodology.
