Senior PHP Developer / PHP Development Team Leader

£35,000 - £50,000 Plus Benefits
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior PHP Developer / PHP Development Team Leader to join our client, an award-winning digital agency.
This is the ideal role for someone with a deep understanding and passion for OO PHP programming to join an expanding agency that boasts an impressive portfolio of clients including the BBC, Channel 4, Eddie Izzard and News International.
As a Senior PHP Developer / PHP Development Team Leader you'll be the lead developer on a number of prestigious projects. You will also help run the development team, develop the skills of the junior developers, and write amazing code for high-profile websites.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on coding in line with strict coding standards (often to meet tight deadlines)
- Working closely with the CTO to ensure the high standard of development expected
- Helping to define and communicate future development methodologies
- Mentoring and providing guidance for the technical team
- Helping with writing specifications and estimating time required to deliver on projects
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Solid development experience including excellent PHP development experience
- Strong OO design skills
- Excellent communication skills
As the Senior PHP Developer / PHP Development Team Leader you should also excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others. Team leadership or management experience would be beneficial to your application.
