Unix Infrastructure Manager, London, £55,000 – 65,000k –My high-profile Retail client seeks a Team Lead Unix Systems Administrator to lead practical implementations of major UNIX O/ S projects and support high availability operation systems.
You will Provide leadership for technical specialists performing project work, working closely with the Infrastructure Support Team Leader to ensure maximum efficiency deployment of colleagues to achieve the groups remit i.e. continuity of production services first priority; fix-b4-fail next, application development projects third.
As the ideal candidate, you will have :
Skills:
·Comprehensive understanding of the practical implementation of a major UNIX O/ S and host hardware, ideally SUN Solaris and/ or Linux experience.
·Excellent Leadership skills
·Ability to achieve results in a large organisation having sophisticated processes and extensive team-working requirements
·Broad understanding of the technical features of data networking, network storage and back-up architecture, security considerations, application monitoring tools and techniques, change control and configuration management
·A calm incident handler with systematic problem analysis skills
Experience:
·Good ‘hands-on' systems administration experience.
·Experience as a manager of a team of UNIX specialists configuring the operating systems for high availability requirements 24x7.
