Windows Infrastructure Security Specialist, Symantec, Cheshire, £35,000 to £52,000 per annum excellent benefits - My High profile Global Financial services Client seeks a highly experienced Windows Infrastructure Security Specialist to ensure that all Windows Security Standards are maintained to the required level and accurately reflected by the group IT security policy.
Key accountabilities:
-You will ensure that all Windows Security Standards are maintained to the required level and accurately reflect the groups IT security policy. Furthermore that they are fully implemented and adhered to across the Windows Infrastructure Support Group.
-You will act as a point of reference and be an expert for Windows platform related security issues, assisting and providing guidance to Windows support teams.
-You will implement security initiatives, ensuring the maximum use is made of available technology to protect supported infrastructure and provide a secure operating environment.
-You will ensure that all hot fixes, security patches, Anti-Virus updates, etc are distributed appropriately and in a timely manner.
-You will make recommendations on and input to the design of new Windows infrastructure from a security perspective.
Essential requirements:
-You must have gained extensive experience as a Windows Infrastructure Security Specialist within a large, highly pressurized enterprise environment
-Highly Experienced with Symantec AND intrad
-Be comfortable and experienced in security architecture and in development and implementation of operating models
-You will be well versed with Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 Operating systems.
-You must understand security products deployed across the Windows Platform Group supported environments
-Gained proven experience in Administering, Supporting and Implementing change into a large Windows enterprise environment
-Have an excellent working Knowledge of HP/ Dell server hardware, Blade, NAS, SAN and preferably HP
