CAD Technician – Mechanical Design (AutoCAD)

£18,000 - £25,000 DOE Plus Discretionary Bonus
Our client is a small high tech company working in the field of computer controlled materials testing systems. An opportunity has now arisen for a CAD Technician to join their growing team.
For this role our client is looking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician with a mechanical design background to play a key role.
As a CAD Technician, in this role you will:
- Assist in the generation of new 3D designs
- Generate 2D detail drawings and BOMs from 3D CAD models
- Modify and adapt existing designs
- Support the Production department by supplying drawing/ information packs
A hands-on approach is required as you will be involved in the build and operation of new designs in order to appreciate the effect of design decisions. A motivated approach and willingness to learn and develop your 3D CAD skills will also be needed.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Experience using AutoCAD
- A mechanical design background (i.e. designing mechanical machinery)
Experience using 3D CAD packages, such as AutoCAD 3D, would be beneficial to your application.
