Electronics Design – Principal Engineer
The world's largest manufacturer of Defence Missiles, an expert in their field, requires an Electronics Design Engineer to lead the design and project management activities for a small area of their business.
This role will also include the day-to-day management of assigned Electronics Engineering staff who will be designing and developing complex electronics circuits/ subassemblies.
Experience of Electronics Design Engineer
+Design of Digital or Analogue Electronics including Microprocessors
+Analogue design up to and including RF
+Design of Power Electronics e.g. Actuator drive circuitry
+Derivation of sub-system architectures from system requirement input
+PCB packaging and layout of complex PCB's
+Experience in one or more of the following CAE design tools – Xilinx Edk, Mentor Graphics HDL designer, Leonardo Spectrum, Precision Synthetics, ModelSim, Board Architect, Board Station RE
+Negotiation of subsystem requirements and associated documents
+Ability to provide succinct and accurate reports and presentations
Role of Electronics Engineer
+Propose, design, develop and manufacture applicable subsystems
+Deliver designs to specification, cost and time
+Develop and maintain the woks plans and report progress as required
+Load and manage relevant work into other operations or functions
+Assign and lead the necessary people and resource to achieve planned workload
+Track the workload for the team and negotiate/ implement priorities as necessary
+Continuously improve the performance and contribution of the team for both project and functional activities
+Identify and manage local improvement plans for the team
+Develop the technical, personal and competencies of the individual
