ESSENTIAL: Exceptional C/ C++, UNIX (Linux), low level programming, strong education (Computer Science)
BENEFICIAL: Finance, Exchange connectivity, background in Games / Defence / Physics / Engineering
My client is a prestigious London Hedge Fund operating on European, US and Asian exchanges – they offer a progressive working environment, generous (business reporting) bonuses and continued professional development.
The successful candidate will be initially be designing and developing bespoke software components in real-time price delivery and order routing systems. These are low level, highly optimised, multi-threaded time critical applications that are integral to the business and to profit.
The successful candidate must have:
• Excellent C/ C++ Development skills (on UNIX)
• A passion to work in this area
• A good degree in a numerate field (computer science, engineering, mathematics)
• Around 2-4 years commercial experience
• The desire to work in a fun, dynamic team environment.
