Project Manager - Software Development/ Application Development, Business Transition, Stakeholder Management, Prince 2 - - London - 3 months + - Highly Competitive rate
Our high profile client in the transport sector is looking for an experience Project Manager to take up this important position with them for an initial 3 month contract.
The client are looking for a well rounded Project Manager with a variety of experience that includes an element of software development (not a software development manager) and business transition. Therefore the successful candidate MUST have experience of the following KEY SKILLS;
> Customer focus and engagement skills - ensuring systems are effectively transitioned to the business and there is wide spread adoption.
> Managing Multi disciplinary teams
> Experience project managing projects with an 'internal' software development component.
> Running projects in a complex stakeholder / supplier environment
> Prince2 (Practitioner is highly desirable)
> Projects varying in value up to £2m
>Determine and agree with the IM Programme Manager the technical, quality and configuration management strategy for all projects within IM.
>Accountable for delivery of all project activities ensuring that all actions are completed to time, cost and quality; and communicate directly with the clients project sponsors, business managers, users and 3rd party suppliers.
> Lead in the selection of appropriate technical solutions for projects and ensure that the deliverables are fit for purpose and fully meet business requirements.
> Ensure that projects comply with the clients IM standards and governance.
> Manage and negotiate resourcing of the project team(s) from across IM and the Business, in line with the IM Project Methodology.
> Direct and implement corrective actions to mitigate against project issues and risks.
> Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the following management products, in accordance with the IM project methodology:-
> project control documentation;
> project plan (containing activities, dependencies, durations, timescales, resources etc);
> project quality plan;
> prepare project objectives documents;
> detailed project cost plan and forecast, with phasing of expenditure;
> project health and safety plan, if the project works so require;
> Facilitate quality reviews and ensure appropriate project reporting of status, key issues, risks and progress.
> Maintain and manage the project change registers, review and approve change requests, in line with the project change control process.
> Assist in the production of project business cases and benefits identification and capture.
> Provide management in a supportive environment for the team.
