PHP Developer
PHP5, MySQL, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, OOP, data driven web applications - (particular CMS and ecommerce websites), Apache, Linux, SSH, XML, XSLT, MVC, Cake, Zend, AJAX, DHTML.
Our company specialises in producing web applications / websites. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team - great potential to develop your career as a PHP developer.
You must come from a development background with experience of working in development teams. You will have a strong desire to develop outstanding applications and have a ‘can-do' attitude. You will be working within a tight-knit team of fellow programmers and GUI designers.
You must be able to show examples of live websites built by you and/ or code written by you.
Essential:
Fluency in PHP5 and MySQL with at least 3 years experience.
At least 3 years experience of working with HTML/ XHTML/ JavaScript/ CSS.
Experience and an excellent understanding of OOP.
Experience of developing complex data driven web applications, in particular CMS and ecommerce websites.
Experience with Apache, Linux and SSH.
Familiarity with XML/ XSLT.
Ability and willingness to follow coding conventions and best practices while developing.
Ability to take part in producing development plans and following the development plans.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to work in a tight-knit team.
Habitually testing your own code!!!
Highly desirable:
Familiarity with MVC architecture and experience with popular frameworks such as Cake or Zend.
Experience of designing and developing databases using MySQL.
Familiarity with AJAX, DHTML and good understanding of W3C standards.
Familiarity with Agile development, in particular extreme programming (XP) will be beneficial.
Experience of using Eclipse, Subversion (SVN), TRAC.
