My client, who are based UK wide, are looking for a 1st/ 2nd Line Support Technician, to join their LONDON office. The main purpose of the role is to provide 1st and 2nd level support, escalation and incident management of IT infrastructure and systems under the direction of the IT Service Desk and Regional Support Manager.

Technical skills: You must have the ability to install and configure the MAC OS X and enabling it to participate on a Windows Active Directory environment. Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar ICT support role. MCP / MCSE or other appropriate professional qualification. Apple Certified Support Professional ( ACSP) advantageous. Any experience of Mac Server OS advantageous. Sound knowledge of Microsoft server and PC operating systems including Windows 2003 and Windows XP Professional and Vista. Good understanding of TCP/ IP Networking. Experience in supporting Adobe CS or other Design and Media applications desirable. Sound knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications including Office 2003 and 2007.

Personal Skills: You will require good customer facing skills and demonstrable ‘soft skills' such as empathy with users issues. You will be delivery focused, able to work calmly & effectively under pressure to tight deadlines. You will require the ability to multitask and prioritise. Be able to plan and manage own time effectively and make decisions on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision. Be able to work with colleagues as part of a geographically distributed team. You must have good communication skills, both oral and written. You may be expected to undertake work, away from your designated place of work as part of your routine duties, or in support of IT projects. You may be required to provide, on a rota basis, support outside of normal working hours. You may, from time-to-time, be required to stay away from home. You will require a car and driving licence.
