Engineering Manager / Lead Engineering Manager - Nuclear - Secure future work - £75,000 +
A leading consultancy has a strategic requirement for an Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer to work on a variety of long-term nuclear contracts based in Scotland.
Company:
The company is at the forefront of research, construction and decommissioning within the nuclear engineering and MOD sectors across the globe. They have held an excellent position within the UK market over the last 50+ years and have a renowned reputation for the work that they provide. Due to solid future growth plans within the company and the nuclear industry they have a strategic requirement for an Engineering Manager to be based in Scotland.
Remuneration:
£65,000 - £75,000 per annum depending on experience
Excellent 25% bonus scheme
Relocation allowance
Pension, health and dental
Role:
The successful Engineering Manager will lead & man-manage a team of circa 25 engineers delivering a variety of fascinating projects mainly in the UK but also across Europe. A strategic role within this company you will be reporting to the UK Head of Engineering and therefore have input into the direction and future growth targets of the company.
As the Engineering Manager you will be the representative of the company in business development opportunities, recruitment and the drive behind the greater adoption of commercial behaviours throughout the team. This is an excellent opportunity which will give the successful Engineer quality of life, balanced with good future career development.
Requirements:
"Degree qualified in an engineering related subject
"Chartership preferable but not essential
"10+ years experience within engineering at a senior level
"Significant experience within the nuclear engineering industry
"(A background in heavy civils, oil & gas or military engineering may be appropriate)
Competencies:
"Strong "commercial acumen" with a demonstrable track record of delivering projects to time, cost and quality requirements
"Experienced at designing, preparing and costing tenders plus presenting them to clients and winning bids
"Leadership qualities to manage a team of circa 25 engineers
"Confident persona with excellent communication skills
"Ability to "muck in" with the team, as well as design and win bids
