Spring IT Solutions are recruiting a Telecoms Support Analyst to work on their client site in Slough, to support Business Partner Infrastructure doing primarily support activities.

As the ideal candidate you will be available immediately or on a short term notice period. You will have strong analytical and technical skills with good interpersonal skills and be a team player, with a proven desire and ability to quickly pickup new technologies in depth; You may be required to travel to other sites so a full UK driving licence and own transport will be required. You will have a flexible approach to working hours as you may be required to work evenings and weekends.

Role and responsibility
Responsible for re-actively and pro-actively responding to infrastructure incidents, investigation and resolution within the agreed SLA targets, attending to Urgent or Critical tickets as a priority dictated by the SLA.
Accurately update all Magic tickets work history and close resolved tickets, and update the status & work history of magic incident tickets within SLA targets.
Responsible for site communications for updates and planned outages that they are involved with, and should organise and plan visits to other sites or locations as
appropriate and agreed by the Team Leader. This may include visits to maintain site awareness and user contact. Remain aware of planned site activities and check that Service Desk has been informed as appropriate.
Take on significant responsibility from early on and be expected to deliver to agreed timescales, working with other UK and European team members to support
technologies across a number of sites.


Skills and Experience required
Cisco knowledge- CCNA certified is desirable but not mandatory
Cisco hardware, switches, WAN, LAN, Telecoms
server knowledge/ skills needed - Microsoft certification is desirable but not mandatory
eDirectory, Windows server 2000/ 2003, Netware servers
desirable -ITIL awareness - ITIL certification is desirable but not mandatory
key tasks will be working on business partner support (telecoms), LAN / Wireless LAN, and Server migrations/ support
desirable - KEON, LAN, NETWORK, RSA, SECURID, VPN, QIP, ADMINISTRATION, CITRIX, DOMINO, NT SERVER, TERMINAL SERVER, UNIX, LINUX
Excellent customer service, organisation and process skills with ability to build strong customer relationships
Ability to work efficiently in a flexible and changing environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - must work well under pressure
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral including the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
