Programme Manager – North West


This role is to work for an internationally recognised Engineering Consultancy who successfully operate across multi – disciplines providing a cost effective, quality service to a variety of clients in the private and public sector. The purpose of this job is to proactively monitor and assist in the management of their programme of property / civil engineering related projects; these have a wide value range (between £1,000 and £12,000,000). The successful applicant will also help provide Profit centre financial management within North West region to enable the monthly cost centre MOB information to be delivered. You will report to the appropriate Cost Centre Manager / Programs Director and Finance Manager, this is a key role, both in terms of the successful delivery of works programmes to clients and ensuring effective internal resource management

Requirements

Objective Qualities
·Knowledge of project finance
·Preferably have experience in a “built environment” subject and/ or a relevant qualification.
·Exemplary communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with Clients and Team members.
·Ability to effectively drive, challenge and motivate the Project Teams.
·The ability to produce clear, concise letters, briefing documents, and reports.
·The ability to research and present information clearly and concisely, and formulating the necessary recommendations.
·A good level of IT literacy, including the Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.) as well as a proven ability to learn quickly in this area.
·Full driving Licence preferable.
Subjective Qualities
·A key component is the ability to find and implement solutions through a ‘can-do' attitude.
·The drive and enthusiasm to ensure a successful programme delivery.
·The ability to work with a minimum of supervision, to prioritise work under pressure and respond positively to the demands of a time limited work programme, completing to deadlines.
·The ability to work successfully, both individually and as part of a team.
·A flexible approach and a willingness to undertake a broad range of tasks within the consultancy.

Responsibilities

·Support to the Finance Manager
·Support to Business Directors
·Regular liaison with Business Directors and Associate Directors giving support with financial forecasting, business planning etc.
·Programme Management, including the assembly of project teams and subsequent management of resources and finances.
·Client liaison, agreeing programmes of work and individual projects as appropriate, including feedback on performance.
·Financial Reporting to Profit Centre Managers and Projects Director, including providing and monitoring Cost and Revenue forecasts.
·Fee invoicing
Assist in ensuring delivery of Key Performance Indicator information
