Government Client requires a Data Centre BA for a 120 day contract.
You will analyse and define the requirements of the UKHO Data Centre and IT Service Continuity projects. To contribute to the successful delivery of the Data Centre & IT Service Continuity projects.
Tasks and responsibilities
•Working with stakeholders to elicit the requirements for an additional Data Centre facilities
•Establish the broader requirements for an additional Data Centre facility
•Review the options for data centre service provision (internal & external)
•Produce comprehensive Business Requirement and User Requirement documents.
•Review the divisional Business Impact Assessments for IT Service Continuity Requirements
•Produce comprehensive documentation of existing IT Service Continuity capability for key services
•Identifying gaps between current and required IT Service Continuity capability.
•Produce project mandate for work to bridge gap between current and required capability
•Specifying requirements for third party contracts.
Skills required
Mandatory –
1.Experience with projects to deliver data centre services via 3rd party hosting
2.Experience in Business Continuity / Disaster Recover / IT Service Continuity Management
3.ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
4.Effective communicator at all levels within the business.
5.Motivated self-starter who is able to progress work on own initiative.
6.Experience of understanding and verifying the needs of different business areas.
7.Understanding of the principles of IT support within a medium sized organisation.
8.Able to manage time effectively and work proactively on projects.
9.Previous experience of working on projects.
10.Written and verbal skills to enable them to communicate user requirements and current practices.
Desirable –
1.IT Service Continuity Management Practitioner (ITSCM)
2.Experience of managing and implementing projects within other organisations.
3.Credibility and character to manage a diverse team in a matrix environment.
4.Capable of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with project team members, business side resource and third party suppliers.
5.Facilitation and presentation skills
6.Understanding of the OJEU contracting process including pre-qualification questionnaires and invitations to tender.
7.Prince2 Qualified
8.ITIL Practitioner's Certificate in IT Service Continuity
