My client will also pay for flights and accommodation for one night if and when you are called in for a face-to-face interview.

In return my client is looking someone who can perform the following duties:

·Participate in all stages of projects carried out by the group
·Perform research and development work in areas of interest
·Liaise with the company community, evaluate services and identify need
·Provide support for other departments
·A thorough understanding of the Internet, particularly in the areas of DNS and BGP
·Several years of experience with software development in a UNIX environment, using Perl or C
·Good analytical and problem-solving skills
·The ability to quickly understand problems and new techniques, and apply them to practical problems
·One or more of the following qualifications are desirable but not essential. Please document them in your application if they apply to you.
·Experience at an ISP, NOC or similar organisation
·Experience with project management
·The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
·Good communication skills
·Excellent command of written and spoken English
·You enjoy working in an international environment


Education and qualifications preferred

·An MSc (or equivalent) degree in an exact science subject, such as computer science, physics or mathematics
·A good knowledge of both written and spoken English
·An interest in the Internet
·The ability to learn quickly
