IT Pre-Sales Consultant – Virtualisation Solutions (HP AIS, HP ASE, VMware VCP)

Our client is an ambitious IT reseller specialising in virtualisation solutions. They are building a successful Technical Services team and now have an opportunity for an IT Pre-Sales Consultant to help them to continue to grow the business.
This is the ideal opportunity for a VMware accredited professional with one of the following: HP AIS or HP ASE. For the right person, this role offers good career prospects, ongoing training and exposure to the latest products and technologies.
In this role you will be responsible for engaging with existing customers and new prospects in order to provide consultancy around infrastructure solutions. This will involve focusing on server and storage virtualisation and VDI solutions, and will require some client visits.
As an IT Pre-Sales Consultant you will need the ability to design and deliver end-to-end solutions once you’ve fully understood the customer’s existing infrastructure, and what their needs and aspirations are for changing/ improving those systems.
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- VMware VCP accreditation and one of the following: HP AIS, HP ASE
- Experience in a customer-facing, pre-sales role
- Any of the following accreditations: MCSE, Citrix Zen Server
As an IT Pre-Sales Consultant you must also have excellent communication skills, the ability to be commercially ‘savvy’, good organisational skills, and an accurate approach.
Knowledge of any of the following products would be beneficial to your application: Platespin, IBM Hardware, Sun Hardware and associated software (including Solaris), SAN solutions, Cisco and/ or Procurve Networking products and solutions.
