Applications Engineer – South West home based – circa £45k
My client an established and expanding factory automation systems company is looking to recruit an Applications Engineer with good experience of line devices and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to be responsible for the specification, instillation and configuration of factory automation line devices.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with line automation software applications in an FMCG environment, line devices could include vision / barcode systems such as Cognex, Omron, Keyence and SICK or printing / labelling systems such as Imaje, Domino, Videojet and Linx. Ideally candidates will have some knowledge of IT systems (SQL, SAP, ERP) and an awareness of PLC / SCADA / HMI.
You will be required to work closely with other departments such as electrical / mechanical engineers as well as clients teams to integrate the line devices with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
The position is home based with regular travel to clients sites predominately in the South West (we are also recruiting for the East Midlands) however you must be comfortable with UK wide travel when required, a car or car allowance will be provided along with everything required to work from home.
