FundsLibrary currently have an exciting opportunity for a junior or mid-level Developer to join their team of passionate software developers. They act as a central hub for collective investment information serving the UK financial industry and provide a variety of services, ranging from data processing and analytics to innovative web interfaces based on the data they process. They are a rapidly growing company providing a wide range of services to asset managers, fund supermarkets, adviser platforms and life companies. Their clients include Prudential, Aviva, Cofunds, Fidelity, and Old Mutual.

You will work as part of an agile team supporting one of the key business areas within FundsLibrary. You will gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and have the opportunity to influence the design of the solution.

What will you be responsible for?

* Working on the entire application stack to deliver solutions that create business value

* Attending team meetings and providing input into planning and estimation

* Working with business analysts and product owners to help scope new work

* Designing solutions to tasks with the help of the team lead

* Documenting the technical structure of solutions you build

Strong communication skills and an analytical mind are essential to allow discussion of solutions to complex financial problems. Being self-motivated and knowing when to ask questions are vital skills.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Attributes:

* C# including ASP.Net MVC

* A good knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS and Javascript

* Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

* 1-3 years' experience in C# development

* Capable of analysing complex problems and producing clear, clean solutions

* Able to communicate complex problems clearly and concisely

* Desire and ability to learn new technologies

* Passionate about technology

* Able to work well in a team

* Problem solving and analytical skills

* Unit testing experience

* Willingness to learn and desire to develop professionally

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

* Educated to a degree level: Either - Comp Science/Engineering or a numerate degree

* Experience of working in a Financial Services environment

* Knowledge of SOLID design patterns and principals

* Ability to use initiative

* Desire to contribute to the Company's success and uphold its exceptional reputation
