The Home Office deals with the most important issues facing the UK - tackling crime, terrorism, cutting illegal immigration and securing our borders. At HM Passport Office, we’re in the middle of an ambitious transformation programme which includes everything from people based initiatives through to technical agile projects, like digitising how we interact with our customers and process passport applications. As a pivotal member of the Strategy and Change department, you’ll be at the heart of our success in making changes that benefit people nationwide.

As Business Change Manager, you will take the lead on large scale change. That could be one major change within a programme, or multiple changes spanning a portfolio of complex projects. Working closely with key individuals across the organisation, you’ll deliver coordinated activities that enable us to realise change, and all the associated benefits, successfully. We will look to you to lead on everything from assessing the impact on our people, customers and quality, through to developing and driving transition and implementation activities, and associated communication plans.

To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need proven experience of designing and delivering business change and implementation activities on large or complex projects. You’ll bring to the role a proven ability to balance priorities and resources in order to deliver successfully to time, cost and quality standards. It is your flair for stakeholder management and communication that really sets you apart. You have a demonstrable talent for forging collaborative networks, influencing and shaping perspectives.

The Home Office offers excellent career development prospects, competitive pension and benefits arrangements, and extensive professional support networks as well as being dedicated to promoting equality, fairness and respect. We will create a working environment where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated. Exactly as you would expect from a large, progressive employer like the Civil Service.
