Our support is out of this world.

So your impact is even greater.

Here at HMGCC, we provide communication systems and technical solutions that protect national security at home and overseas, now and for the future. Our Service Operations Centre is at the heart of this - helping us to deliver ground-breaking projects. With a sound understanding of IT Security, you’ll help assure that security policy is applied to customers across Government.

The role

Operating an industry-leading Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) toolkit, you’ll actively monitor activity on our systems. By undertaking routine reporting and identifying issues for investigation, you’ll analyse the behaviour and usage patterns of systems and users. With excellent attention to detail, you’ll log and manage potential security threats.

A confident communicator, you’ll also liaise with internal stakeholders, ensuring that their requirements are being met effectively. The role will also see you developing operational relationships with our partners, while producing insightful reports to tight deadlines.

Your profile

To join us, you’ll need a good understanding of IT Security and Data Assurance - along with a background in a data administration or analytical role. We’ll expect you to identify trends and patterns within data, and be able to present this back. Ideally, you’ll have experience of the Security ‘Triad’ (confidentiality, availability and integrity), and knowledge of using a corporate Security Incident and Event Management Tool. But, more importantly, you’ll be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who wants to learn and develop in the role.

Rewards

In return, we’ll provide all the training you need to develop your skills. You’ll also get a great rewards package that includes flexible hours and a welcoming workplace.
