An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Digital Media Investigator Coordinators to join our Digital Media team. The successful applicants will manage and coordinate the newly created Local Digital Media Investigation Team; providing advice and guidance to staff as well as training around best working practices for recovering digital evidence for criminal investigations. This role is challenging and evolving, you’ll be required to undertake continuous professional development to keep up to date with changing technologies, used to commit crime. It is essential you have previous experience and knowledge of Data Protection, The Management of Police Information (MOPI). You’ll be responsible for training your team to provide expert advice and guidance across a range of digital disciplines including mobile phones, open source, social media, CCTV and other digital devices. You’ll need to make sure each digital hub meets and maintains ISO 17025 accreditation standard.

Essential skills:

-Proven experience of strong investigative skills

-Previous experience of using open source, social media, CCTV, ANPR, communications intelligence and body worn video for investigative purposes.

-Knowledge of a wide range of software packages

-Previous experience of providing training and development to a team

-Excellent written and verbal communications skills

-Previous experience of setting performance regimes

Previous experience working in a digital investigative role within the policing environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
