Our Client is looking for a candidate with the following skills -
Role:
•Monitor and manage the core network infrastructure to maintain Service Level Agreements
•Maintain network and security infrastructure and products through Product Lifecycle Management
•Evaluate, review, test and document new network and security products
•Enhance and develop documentation for standards conformance and best practices
•In conjunction with the solution delivery team, project manager, build and configure networking and security equipment required for the successful delivery of a client solution.
•Provide support to the Network and Security Support Engineers and Operations team for networking and security technical incidents and problems.
•Ensure that knowledge is retained through documentation of procedures and knowledge-base articles
Person:
•Must have excellent client communications skills, and experience of working in a dynamic team environment.
•Experience in supporting high availability customer-focused environments.
•CCNA certified and CCNP certified with CCDP being advantageous.
•Degree educated or equivalent experience.
•Demonstrable track record of the configuration and support of core network enterprise infrastructure and devices around Cisco technologies such as Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco FWSM modules, Cisco Content Switching, Cisco ACE modules and Cisco software including Cisco Works and ACS.
•Demonstrable track record of the configuration and support of products such as Checkpoint Firewalls, Packeteer Packetshaper and Tipping Point Intrusion Prevention System.
•Knowledge & experience of routing and switching technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, MPLS, STP, VOIP, HSRP & VRRP.
•Knowledge & experience of VPN technologies specifically IPSec LAN to LAN and VPN client software
•Knowledge and experience of ITIL standards desirable.
