Senior Digital Physical Design Engineer - Dublin

Based in Dublin, our wireless Semiconductor client has a superb opportunity for a Senior Digital Physical Design Engineer to come on-board as the company's first backend design expert. On the back of huge demand for their products, our client is looking to expand significantly and ultimately will grow a physical design team under this first hire.

As the Digital Physical Design Engineer you will work closely alongside the RTL Design and Verification teams and take responsibility for the complete backend design phase, for multiple product lines. You will responsible for digital physical implementation, from RTL to GDSII, for all aspects of the digital core from baseband blocks through to full top level and across multiple CMOS nodes.

The right candidate for this position will be an experienced digital physical design engineer, with an extensive track-record in low power digital ASIC backend design flow on 40nm or lower.

The successful Physical Design candidate will have:

*A number of years' experience working on the Physical Design phase of digital ASICs

*Experience of the Synopsys physical implementation tool

*Strong knowledge of timing, and power closure, floorplanning and Place & Route

*A background of having worked on multiple design tape-outs

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This opportunity comes with a highly competitive package, interesting technology and excellent scope for leadership.
