Information Security Engineer (SIEM CISSP Splunk). Award winning financial website that facilitates Peer-to-Peer lending is seeking a passionate, highly technical Information Security Engineer. The company is highly successful with 60,000 lenders and 120,000 borrowers, their systems are data intensive and require high level security.

As an Information Security Engineer you will work closely with the Head of Security to set-up and establish their security operations centre and security practices across the business. Responsibilities will include collaborating with development teams to provide consultancy on information security practices; monitoring, identify and responding to security incidents; work on continuous improvements including the development of new tools and support systems as well as participating on automation of the incidents' identification and prioritisation.

Friendly team environment based in Central London, casual dress code with a start-up atmosphere.

Requirements:

*Good knowledge of Information Security best practice and technologies, with a keen interest and desire to improve your knowledge of security, network and server administration and automation technologies

*Both Linux and Windows administration experience

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Desirable: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk; vulnerability scanners such as Nessus; Networking protocols and technologies; programming / scripting skills with Python or Ruby; IT Security Certifications like CISSP
